Bed Bugs
Hitchhikers that hide by day and feed while you sleep.

Cimex lectularius · Peak: Year-round; travel-driven
Signs you have them
- Dark fecal spots on mattress seams, sheets, and headboards
- Shed skins (exuviae) and tiny blood smears
- Itchy bites in rows or clusters on exposed skin
- A faint, sweet, musty odor in heavy infestations
Behavior
Bed bugs hide in mattress and box-spring seams, frames, and baseboards near where people sleep, emerging at night to feed. They do not fly or jump — they travel on luggage, used furniture, and through shared walls. Widespread pyrethroid resistance makes DIY sprays largely ineffective.
Risks & health concerns
Bed bugs are not known to transmit disease, but the bites are itchy and can become infected, and a heavy infestation causes real anxiety and lost sleep. For hotels and rentals they are a reputation and revenue risk.
How we treat bed bugs
- 01Confirm and map the infestation (canine detection on request)
- 02Run whole-room thermal heat treatment — lethal to every life stage, including eggs
- 03Add targeted residual products where heat needs reinforcement
- 04Provide encasements and a follow-up inspection to verify zero activity
Common questions
If covered pests return between your scheduled visits, we come back and re-treat at no additional charge. It is the core of every recurring plan — you are protected between visits, not just on the day we are there.
Bed bugs have developed widespread resistance to common insecticides, and they hide deep in cracks where sprays cannot reach. Whole-room thermal heat raises the air temperature so every crevice reaches a level lethal to all life stages — including eggs — usually in a single visit, with no chemical residue. We reinforce with targeted residuals and verify with a follow-up inspection.
